uNpErfEcT.lAbOr.DaY...

Wut startD out az sumthin fun and enjoying turned screwed up @ da end...

my sister, mom, niece, and i went to the store to purchase meat so mom cud bbq for Labor Day.
we stopped by my brother's to let him know and then we were on our way to pick up my sister's friend b4 heading home to start cooking the meat.

some meat wuz on the pit and my sister was looking after it as mom cooked beans and cornbread inside.
my brother and his 3children showed up and things began to go well...4the time being that iz...

ppl started going in and out the door. the kids came in and just wanted to be inside but they really wouldn't sit in one spot and so the door kept opening and closing. mom spoke up and told them to stop going in and out of the door.

i stayed on the couch or in my room to keep from having mom to have to tell me to stop going in and out but the door kept moving thruout the day.

it was nightfall and my brother and his two youngest were thinking about leaving. his oldest went home earlier because she got tired of my mom talking about them going in and out, when its her house.

my brother said
"this is suppose to be a family gathering. ain't no need for attitude and it ain't just one person."

mom said
"well some people can't take a joke."

my brother
"well you having attitude with my kids. getting onto them for going in and out of your house. they get enough of that at home they don't need it from you too."

mom said
"well i'm the grandma and i don't what i want."

my brother said
"well i just won't bring them back up here again."

he got his kids in the car and left.

my mom sat stunned at first and then went into the apartment. i waited just a bit and i went to check on her, only to find her in tears.

my mother is the best person in my life and i hope to be a mother like her if i decide to have children.
she does everything for her kids and its bullshit for her to be treated that way.
